Hello everyone, sometime last August I went about making myself a pincushion. It was made around a matchbox because I wanted there to be storage for embroidery scissors and thread so it would be convenient for taking to and from school as well as the various spots I work in in the house.

Hello, here is part two of my finished fall/winter wardrobe. So this post consists of two shirts one Edwardian inspired and the other Rococo/ Marie Antoinette inspired. One is cotton and the other is my usual silk-cotton blend with chiffon. One is purple one is blue. I’m running out of ways in which to sum up their differences in obvious or one word descriptions. So I’ll just jump in and describe the shirts in their full, from dyes to sewing features to overall look and inspirations!

Hello! I am very happy to be back writing! As I felt these last few months of school was mostly making and no writing at all because I had no time for it and I didn’t have a true writing class. Hello everyone, how are the last days of your summer? In my neck of the woods it has actually decided to be summer and be sunny opposed to the wet rain and overcast skies that have composed of most of my summer weather. I’m not complaining about the sunshine and going out for ice cream today. However that is off topic, as today I wanted to share the last garment I made before school begins. All summer I have wanted to make myself a cotton shirt to wear in the summer heat. Or lack there of as we didn’t have a summery summer this year. Anyways it took until nearly the end of summer to get to this project but I finally got to it and it had its own bumps on the road but I am pleased with the results and am here to share them!

Hello everyone, this is the last installment of my first every knitting project which was a sweater. You can read the exposition and part 1 here and here. I am happy to have finally finished this project but it did take some time to finish it. I believe I started it in June and had all but one sleeve done because I had run out of the yarn I was using for the project. But since then I have gotten the yarn, knit the sleeve, and assembled the sweater with a few trials and tribulations.

Hello everyone, I know this is a bit out of season but the other day I finally finished the winter coat that I started last winter. I thought that winter is coming and once school starts up again I won’t have time to finish it until the winter break and I need a coat before winter starts, etc. Anyways I basically finished my winter coat in August because I’ll be too busy to finish it before winter starts. The coat itself was inspired by coats of the Edwardian era as far as shape goes, however I did make some modern changes to the pattern. Like shortening it to be more practical for myself and dyeing the fabric a colour that appeals to my taste more than the dark colours of the era.
