Hello everyone, as I mentioned a while ago I have been teaching myself how to knit and was starting off with a sweater as my first true project. You can read my first post on the subject here. Now I haven’t quite finished the project as I have run out of yarn (please excuse me I am a rookie knitter here) and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail since the yarn store ran out of the yarn I was using. But all I have left to do is one sleeve, the ties, and sewing the whole thing together. So in the meantime I thought that I would share what I have done!

Hello everyone, this post is part two of the books that inspire me and you can read part one here. But this post will encompass all of the graphic books that I draw inspiration from. This includes fashion books, art books, photography books, etc. Flipping through these books is very therapeutic but I don’t have the time to often pause and flip through one at a leisurely pace. I would like to be able to find more time to do this considering there are probably over two hundred of those books in this house but there just are not enough hours in the day… But alas here today I give you the books that I have been able to really look through.

Hello everyone, yesterday I began a knitting project. Before the semester ended I had the idea to take up knitting as I am an avid cardigan lover. But a cardigan lover of a very specific cut. I like a square neck line, three-quarter length sleeves, and a cropped length for my cardigans. These are the ones I am instantly attracted to and I used to be able to find in stores quite readily but not in the past couple of years so I decided that I would take up knitting in order to satisfy and provide for myself.

Bonjour, since my last post I have since finished the shirt that I was working on and I have moved onto another one as well as the winter coat (I am still trying to get lining out of the Pepto Bismol colour realm… I’m thinking of adding logwood next since at this point purple is closer to the colour I want than). And I have done a few dye experiments, which I haven’t been able to do for a while.
(Isn’t this iris nice? I love this picture even though it is a few years old. It was a proud gardener moment)

Oi vey! this past month I feel like I have both done a lot but also have done nothing… Do you ever have times where you feel like that? I do often. So in the past month I have been infatuated with the last imperial Tsar of Russia and his family (Nicholas, Alexandra, Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei). This stated with me watching Being John Malkovich… Strange I know but let me explain. So for those who don’t know in the film John Cusack plays a big creep (seriously he is very creepy) and I being the John Cusack lover that I am (High Fidelity being the only real reason for this) I couldn’t stand having him be Craig in my mind. I had to redeem him in my mind. So late one night I decided I had to watch a movie with him in it to do this. It was too late to start watching High Fidelity and I had remembered that John Cusack played Dimitri in the animated film Anastasia…
