Collecting and Storing Seeds

Hello! This past summer-fall I have been reading about collecting seeds from plants as it extends the magic of plants as well as my involvement with them which is incredibly appealing to me. I have dabbled in collecting seeds a bit before. Last year I collected a few Sweet Pea, Snapdragons, and Lavender seeds. These were spontaneous collecting and I know that sounds odd, but I just sort of picked them up as I noticed that they were there in the garden. Non-Traditional Dye Plant Essentials

Hello, in my last blog post I talked briefly about how for the last three years my garden has had the main focus of growing flowers for their dye results. Hello everyone! I cannot believe that it is already September but it is. Like taking out some over-grown daylilies, moving a couple of last plants in hopes of a better year next year, and beginning to harvest things. Through all the work there are still a few new flowers that are blooming which is exciting! But I can’t deny that the growing season is winding down. Which saddens me, however I am beginning to savor the days again as the trees are beginning to turn yellow and fall to the ground.

My August Garden

Hello everyone, august is here and it is time to see what is new in the garden since last month. I love the mid-summer flowers that start appearing in the garden because they tend to be the ones with the deeper and more vivid colours. However the gardens were hit by a hailstorm at the end of July and things looked a little depleted for a handful of days but then things started to perk up again! So let’s see what’s growing!

Spring Again

So it has been a give or take a week since I officially finished this school year and I can say that I am already struggling to find that non-school work groove again.
