Hello everyone! Today is a bit of a different post but it is something I think is important for me to share. The purpose of this post is to share an embroidery piece that I made and have dedicated to the prairies as a sort of gift to the Canadian prairies. The prairies is something that I feel very close to (as you can see if you read my poem artist statement) and that is what this piece, The Plains and The Sames is conveying. Please enjoy!

Hello everyone, sorry for my absence but I was away for a week. I was in the beloved Saskatchewan that I was talking about in my last post. It was a week of “relaxation”. I put that in quotation marks as I did a lot of reading, painting, and I finished up a stitching project. So I had a bit to do but not quite as much as I usually do. And now I am back, feeling recharged and ready to take this time by storm. More like I’m ready to get back into making clothes again and finish a couple of other projects.

Hello everyone, today I am sharing a place that I knew has always impacted me as an artist but has been hard for me to articulate as a subject and that is the Saskatchewan prairies. I do not live there but it has been a crucial part of my upbringing. I have always travelled to them but had never truly appreciated to its capacity until I moved to Montréal. Also up north there is my small quaint paradise of a cabin that has many special memories and is where I say the beginnings of my practice as a painter started. This is what I want to share with you today.
